Radiologist
Aspen Medical is currently seeking expressions of interest from dedicated and highly qualified Radiologists to partner with us in providing essential medical services at various facilities across the United States and its territories. This opportunity is pivotal in supporting the mission of Clinical Services and VA Health Care System.
This expression of interest is for a one-year contract position, operating under a fixed hourly rate. Please note that compensation will only be provided for hours worked, with no pay during off shifts.
We are particularly interested in candidates who reside within reasonable proximity to facilities across Tennessee where care will be rendered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care in alignment with U.S. clinical standards and compliance measures.
- Adapt to the specific requirements of each facility as needed.
- Radiologists perform all aspects of therapeutic radiation oncology. This includes 3-D external beam planning, Intensity - Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT); Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT); Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) treatment and planning; Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) treatment and planning; Electron Beam Radiotherapy; RapidArd/Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) treatment and planning; Eclipse Treatment Planning System (TPS); ARIA.
- Work in coordination with hematology/oncology and surgical subspecialties to ensure that Veterans with malignancies are appropriately managed.
Requirements:
Citizenship
- All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders.
- Sponsorship will not be available.
Education:
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Board Certification:
- Must hold board certification of specialty and sub-specialty (if applicable) by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Board of Radiology.
License:
- Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of current, post-board certification experience in therapeutic radiation oncology.
- Experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Tropical Medicine, and austere environments highly desired.
- Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Current, valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current, valid certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current NPI highly recommended.
