Description The Contractor shall furnish all key personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite Anesthesiology Physician Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Western NY Health Care System, Buffalo campus. The Contractor’s physician(s) care shall cover the range of Anesthesiology services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by: American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Guidelines.
Essential Qualifications
United States Citizenship
Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed
Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of the Veterans Affairs in Anesthesiology in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS required
The candidate should have completed an accredited Anesthesiology program in the United States and be board certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
Minimum of two years of current experience, 3 years preferred
Variable of locations throughout the United States.
Contract: Anywhere from 13 weeks to 3 years
Shifts available: Days, nights, weekends
Pay: Competitive salary (W2 and 1099 options available)
Pay Frequency: Biweekly basis (x2 per month)
Comprehensive benefits package for W2 employees (*Dependent on position)

Able to distinguish between basic colors
Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print
Ability to communicate effectively with customers in stressful situations
Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and undergo urine drug testing
