Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in pediatric or developmental settings. Minimum 1-2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in pediatric or developmental settings. Familiarity with parent-mediated or play-based interventions (e.g., PLAY Project preferred)
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen
Licensure/Certification:
National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Must have or obtain certification in P.L.A.Y. Project (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters) within 6 months of hire
Current, unrestricted license to practice Occupational Therapy in any U.S. state or territory
Responsibilities:
Conduct developmental evaluations and assessments for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Administer standardized tools such as FEAS, CARS, Greenspan Growth Chart, and REEL
Create individualized occupational therapy intervention plans and document child progress
Provide parent coaching and deliver treatment using the PLAY Project methodology
Address deficits in motor, cognitive, social, and emotional functioning using therapeutic activities and adaptive tools
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers
Communicate findings and recommendations in written reports and video-based feedback
Travel monthly for TDY to remote MTF sites to support PLAY service implementation
Participating in peer reviews, team meetings, and ongoing clinical training

Hours of Performance: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0730 -1630, Monday through Friday. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends (Variable shifts between 0730-1900 up to 2x/week); Monthly TDY travel (1 week)
