As a member of our medical team, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality support services to individuals in the VAMC healthcare facility. Your responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Providing supportive patient care and medical services according to established protocols and standards
Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications to patients
Patient Consultation: Provide advice and answer questions about medications, their side effects, and interactions

Requirements:
Valid and active license: Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted pharmacist license in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or District of Columbia
Three professional references
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) that has been recognized by the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained
Must pass the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE) for state of operation/practice. Completion of an American Society of Health System Pharmacists (AHSP) accredited residency is preferred
Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience which includes providing clinical pharmaceutical care to patients; advising on medication therapy management; and training or educating health care professionals on the use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
Certifications: Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Board certification in one or more of the pharmacy specialties recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties or completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or American College of Clinical Pharmacy is preferred
Training Requirements:
VA, 10176, VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior
VA, 10203, Privacy and HIPAA Training.
