JOB AD: Registered Nurse-Operating Room Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3 month on, 1 month off, cycle. The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility. All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services. Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. Requirements Education:
A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required
Certification:
Current, valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Current, valid certification as a Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred
License:
Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or the District of Columbia
Experience:
Registered Nurse (RN) must have twelve (12) months of Operation Room clinical experience within the last thirty-six (36) months. Experience must include all phases of a multi-service ambulatory surgical center or hospital operation room
Documentation of formal operation room surgical nurse training is required; a verification letter or certificate from the institution of training is acceptable
Must be able to circulate and scrub for surgical procedures
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desired
This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation.
