JOB AD: Laundry/Support Staff/Housekeeping Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Support Staff to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract offering various rotational deployment cycles. The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility. Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. Qualification Requirements
Completion of secondary education or equivalent vocational training in laundry services, housekeeping, or facility maintenance from a recognized institution in a UN Member State.
Additional short courses in hygiene and infection prevention are desirable."
Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in laundry operations, sanitation, or housekeeping services, preferably in a hospital, clinic, military, or mission support environment.
Must have completed basic training in infection prevention and control (IPC), waste management, and handling of contaminated linen or materials, within 12 months prior to deployment.
Must hold a relevant work certificate or proof of employment competency issued by a recognized national authority, training institution, or employer.
In lieu of certification, a letter of good standing or experience confirmation should be provided by the previous employer or relevant authority.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desired.
English proficiency-a minimum of Level B 2 is required
