Introduction:Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Ultrasound Technologist to partner with us in providing temporary contracted medical services to Military Treatment Facilities throughout the United States. Today’s posting will place you at the primary location of the Tucson VAMC, Arizona. Key Responsibilities:
Perform ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety during examinations
Position patients correctly to obtain the best quality images
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order
Review and evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy
Document and report findings to radiologists and physicians
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on ultrasound equipment
Stay current with advances in ultrasound technology and imaging techniques
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and discuss imaging results
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
Current certification and registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
State licensure (if applicable)
Minimum of one year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and performing ultrasound procedures
Knowledge of sonographic safety standards and practices
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CPR certification preferred

Contract: Year-long assignment
Hours of Performance: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0700 -1700, Monday through Friday. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends
Detailed pay rates will be outlined in the initial interview phase
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 6-8 hours per day
Able to distinguish between basic colors
Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print
Ability to communicate effectively with customers in stressful situations
Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and undergo urine drug testing
