Nurse Anesthetist
Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Anesthetist to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3 month on, 1 month off, rotation cycle.
The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility. All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services.
Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.
Citizenship
- All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders.
- Sponsorship will not be available.
Requirements:
Education:
A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
Board Certification:
- Must be board certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
License:
- Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted advanced practice nursing license in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or the District of Columbia.
Continuing Education:
- Meet continuing education unit (CEU) requirement of 40 CEU’s every two years which are acceptable to the AANA Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 36 months post-training experience in the delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia (general, neuraxial, regional, and Monitored Anesthesia Care).
Certification:
- Current, valid American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation. You will not receive pay while off rotation.
