Introduction:  Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for CT Technologist to partner with us in providing temporary contracted medical services to Military Treatment Facilities throughout the United States. Today’s posting will place you at the primary location of the White River Junction Veteran Administration Medical Center (VAMC). Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety during examinations
  • Position patients correctly to obtain the best quality images
  • Administer contrast agents as needed, under the direction of a physician
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any unusual occurrences to the physician
  • Review and evaluate CT images for technical quality and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, including radiation safety
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT equipment
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and discuss imaging results
  • Stay current with advances in CT technology and radiologic techniques

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State licensure (if applicable)
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a CT Technologist
  • Proficiency in operating CT equipment and performing CT procedures
  • Knowledge of radiologic safety standards and practices
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • CPR certification preferred

  • Contract: Year-long assignment 
  • Hours of Performance: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0700 -1700, Monday through Friday. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends
  • Detailed pay rates will be outlined in the initial interview phase 

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 6-8 hours per day 
  • Able to distinguish between basic colors 
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers in stressful situations 
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and undergo urine drug testing 
  • Advanced medical and anatomical skills 
  • Knowledge of general surgery practices 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong motor skills and manual dexterity 
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours 
  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to remain calm and focused on stressful situations 
  • Organizational and time management skills
