Position Description for Construction Manager

- Project completion on time by ensuring the project is completed within the established timeline.

- Safe working environment by implementing safety protocols, monitoring compliance, and reducing the risk of accidents on the construction site.
- Identifying potential risks and issues early and developing strategies to mitigate these risk.
- Regulatory compliance by ensuring that all construction activities comply with local building codes, regulations and permits.
- To manage project related documentation and document accuracy
- Adherence to contractual requirements, term and conditions.
- Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Project planning with consultant and other stakeholder, by developing comprehensive project plans for hospital and clinic construction projects, including defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines
- Work together with Legal Department making sure completed required license to start construction process (ie. AMDAL etc)
- Compliance and regulation by ensuring required resources, and estimating costs, codes, safety standards, and other relevant guidelines specific to healthcare facilities.
- Stakeholder management by collaborating with Director of Construction and Infrastructure Development of Aspen Medical, Board of Management, procurement department, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to align project goals and expectations.
- Budget and cost management by creating and managing project budgets for hospital and clinic construction.
- Design and construction oversight by reviewing architectural and engineering plans, ensuring compliance with functional requirements, Ministry of Health Indonesia’s regulation, safety regulations, and healthcare standards.
- Vendor and contractor management by selecting, negotiating contracts with, and managing relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors involved in the hospital construction project. The process of tender vendor and contractor will advise by Director of Construction and Infrastructure of Aspen Medical and Board of Management.
- Risk assessment and mitigation by identifying potential risks and challenges associated with hospital construction projects, such as construction disruption, safety hazards, and regulatory issues.
- Quality assurance by implementing quality control measures to ensure the construction of hospital facilities meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Project documentation and reporting by maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
- Commissioning and handover by coordinating the commissioning process, ensuring the proper functioning and integration of hospital and clinic systems and equipment.
- Report to Project Manager and Director of Contruction
- Selection Criteria
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Construction management .
- Extensive experience in managing large scale construction projects inclusive of healthcare infrastructure, with minimal 5 year of experience handling construction with managing large – midscale project budget size value > IDR 100 BIO, preferably hospital construction.
- Detailed listing of project delivery to date
- In-depth knowledge in healthcare construction, regulation and best practice in hospital construction.
- Excellent Contractor management capabilities
- Client side and cost management
- Efficient Problem solving and decision making.
- Willing to be based in Makassar
