About the Role
The Veterans Administration is seeking a dedicated Emergency Room (ER) Physician to join our exceptional team of healthcare professionals providing world-class medical care to America’s veterans. You will work in a state-of-the-art VA Medical Center, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality emergency and acute care to veterans presenting with a wide range of medical and psychiatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive emergency medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients presenting with acute and life-threatening conditions.
Stabilize patients and coordinate transfer to appropriate inpatient or specialty care units.
Collaborate closely with nursing staff, residents, and other specialists to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and professional development programs.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with VA standards and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
2 Years previous expereince in an Emergency Room Setting
Valid and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); additional certifications (e.g., ATLS, PALS) preferred.
U.S. citizenship required.
